Bruce E. Gerstein
Partner
Mr. Gerstein earned his undergraduate degree from the Bernard M. Baruch College of The City University of New York and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School, graduating with honors. He is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York (inactive).
Mr. Gerstein is one of the nation’s leading attorneys in the field of complex litigation. He has been named as lead counsel by federal and state courts across the United States and has successfully resolved numerous antitrust, securities and consumer-related class actions, recovering hundreds of millions of dollars for class members. He has lectured at conferences discussing important and cutting-edge antitrust issues, including serving as a panelist at the University of San Francisco alongside Professor Herbert Hovenkamp, a leading authority on antitrust law, to discuss the interplay between antitrust law, patent law and the Hatch-Waxman Act.
For the six years prior to joining the firm then known as Garwin & Bronzaft in 1978, Mr. Gerstein was an investigatory accountant specializing in the area of stockholder derivative and class actions.
Mr. Gerstein is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York and is admitted to practice before the United States Courts of Appeals for the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Ninth and Eleventh Circuits and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York, the Eastern District of Michigan and the District of Columbia.

Scott W. Fisher

Mr. Fisher earned his undergraduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School. He also received a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education from Brooklyn College.
Mr. Fisher is best known for his leading role in various complex securities and stockholder derivative class action litigation, where he has frequently been named as lead or co-lead counsel. Mr. Fisher has also had a lead role in successfully resolving product liability and consumer-related class actions, recovering hundreds of millions of dollars for class members. He has lectured at conferences discussing issues raised in connection with class actions, including the use of mediation to facilitate settlement, and has served as a panel member before the New York State Bar Association discussing class action practice.
Prior to joining the firm then known as Garwin Bronzaft & Gerstein in 1982, Mr. Fisher was an educator employed by the New York City Board of Education in a wide variety of pedagogical areas including curriculum development in mathematics.
Mr. Fisher is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals for the Second, Third, Seventh and Eleventh Circuits and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the District of Arizona.

Mr. Opper earned his undergraduate degree from Tufts University and his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Opper was employed by the law firm of Milberg Weiss Bershad Hynes & Lerach LLP, where he specialized in antitrust and human rights litigation. Mr. Opper was a member of the Antitrust Bureau of the New York State Department of Law from 1985-1996, serving as Acting Bureau Chief from 1994-1996. From 1977-1985 Mr. Opper was employed by the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, New York.

Kimberly M. Hennings

Ms. Hennings earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tampa, graduating cum laude, and her law degree from Brooklyn Law School, graduating cum laude. During law school, Ms. Hennings interned for former New York State Supreme Court Justice Jules Spodek and for the Office of the New York State Attorney General’s Healthcare Bureau.

In 2017, Garwin Gerstein & Fisher was the recipient of the American Antitrust Institute’s award for Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement in Private Law Practice for its role as lead counsel in In re K-Dur Antitrust Litigation, in which Ms. Hennings served as a key member of the litigation team. Ms. Hennings also served as primary counsel for GGF in King Drug Company of Florence, Inc. v. Cephalon, Inc., in which GGF and its co-counsel secured the largest victory ever in a delayed generic drug entry case on behalf of direct purchasers.

Dan Litvin

Dan Litvin graduated from New York University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, and was recognized on several occasions on the Dean’s List.
Mr. Litvin graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2006. While in law school, Mr. Litvin served as a clerk for an Administrative Law Judge at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where he drafted a number of employment discrimination opinions.
